Measuring What Matters

Please join the American Council on Education (ACE) Women’s Network Northern California for ainformal discussion about Contextual Courage at noon on Friday, June 5th. Register here!

Higher Education leaders are leading culture change amid increasingly difficult climates. With federal budget and programmatic cuts, direct attacks on diversity, equity and inclusion, threats to academic freedom and targeted programming for underrepresented groups, and revved up polarization, there exists a dire need for courageous action. This session provides a practical, research-informed tool (the Contextual Courage Tool) and an asset-driven pathway for collective and individual action (Contextual Courage Profile) to help participants identify their contextual courage and funnel from the chaos to possibilities and a way forward.

During the session, participants will assess their contextual courage profile and begin to make meaning of their results. Following the session, participants will be able to use the framework and apply it more broadly to departments and divisions within their institutions.
